F&I Products / Powersports

Powersports F&I Products and Training with Elite FI Partners.

Powersports F&I (finance and insurance) products are the protection plans a dealer offers when a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, personal watercraft or snowmobile is sold, such as service contracts, GAP, tire and wheel, and appearance protection. Elite FI Partners specializes in helping powersports dealerships increase profitability through industry-leading F&I products, dealer wealth-building strategies, and profit-sharing programs. We partner directly with motorcycle, ATV, UTV, personal watercraft, snowmobile, and powersports dealers across the country to provide the products, training, and support needed to build a high-performing finance department.

Service Contracts

UTV, ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile, and PWC, written for how powersports units actually fail.

Off-road and powersports units operate in environments that automotive VSCs explicitly exclude. Our programs are written by underwriters who know the actual claim distribution for each segment, covering seal-and-gasket, drivetrain, cooling systems, electrical, and fuel systems. Coverage tiers match use profile: trail riders, touring, sport, and work-horse UTVs all have different failure modes.

GAP Coverage

Indirect lender-friendly GAP for high-LTV powersports financing.

Powersports units depreciate quickly in the first 12 to 18 months. Customers who financed close to MSRP on a motorcycle or UTV are often upside-down for two or more years. GAP protection is a straightforward conversation in powersports, with lender-compliant programs that work across the indirect financing environment.

Appearance Protection

Maintain machine value through the ownership cycle.

Paint and finish on powersports units takes far more abuse than automotive: UV exposure, off-road grime, trail scratches, and track abrasion. Our appearance protection programs are rated for the powersports environment and present well in the finance office as a value-preservation conversation.

Maintenance Plans

Pre-paid service intervals that keep customers coming back to your store.

Scheduled maintenance plans lock in service revenue and keep customers connected to your dealership long after the sale. Prepaid oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections are a simple sell when the customer is still excited about the unit, and a powerful retention tool over the ownership cycle.

Wear & Tear

The parts riding wears out, which a factory warranty does not pay for.

Brake pads and rotors, belts and hoses, bulbs and fuses wear out in the normal course of riding, and a manufacturer’s warranty leaves them to the owner. Wear and tear coverage replaces them on new units with a $0 deductible, with a key replacement and towing benefit built in. It is a natural companion to a maintenance plan: one covers the service, the other the parts that wear.

Tire & Wheel

Tailored to off-road wear patterns and replacement cycles.

Off-road tires are expensive. Sidewall damage, punctures, and bead separations from rocks and trail debris are high-frequency events on UTVs and ATVs. Tire and wheel coverage offers a benefit customers immediately understand, with predictable claims economics that make it a solid reinsurance line at volume.

Lifetime Battery & Key

Anchor product. High attach on a properly structured menu.

Battery and key replacement is the low-cost anchor that opens every other product conversation. Easy for customers to say yes, high attach rates, and the first yes makes subsequent products easier to present. On a properly structured powersports menu, this product drives base attach into VSC, tire and wheel, and GAP.

Theft Protection

GPS and VIN-etch programs for high-theft powersports segments.

Motorcycles, UTVs, and ATVs are stolen at significantly higher rates than passenger cars. GPS-based stolen vehicle recovery and VIN-etch programs give customers real protection on units that are difficult to recover without active tracking. High perceived value, clean claims economics.

Coverage, product by product

What each powersports F&I product covers

The coverage below is taken from the administrators’ own specimen contracts where we hold one, and names the form. Coverage, limits and exclusions vary by contract and state, and the contract the customer signs governs.

Service Contracts

A powersports service contract pays for repairs when a covered part fails mechanically during the contract term. AGWS Compass Powersports is written at two levels: Platinum covers every part except the listed exclusions, and Gold covers the named components below.

What it covers

  • Engine Internally lubricated parts, valves, oil pump, mounts
  • Water pump Impeller shaft, bearings and housing
  • Transmission Internal gears, bearings and selector
  • Primary drive Internal gears and chains in the primary case
  • Seals & gaskets On covered parts, on-road motorcycles
  • Fuel system Fuel pump and housing, valves
  • Electrical Alternator, starter, harness, coils, EFI module
  • Gauges Factory instruments and sender units
  • Steering Steering stem, bearings, handlebar

GAP Coverage

GAP (guaranteed asset protection) covers the difference between what a customer still owes on a motorcycle, ATV or UTV loan and what their insurance pays if the unit is totaled or stolen. Powersports units lose value fastest in the first 12 to 18 months, which is when that difference is largest.

Appearance Protection

Appearance protection covers the finish of the unit, the paint and bodywork that sun, trail scratches, grime and track abrasion wear down.

What it covers

  • UV exposure Sun fade on paint and finish
  • Trail scratches Scratches through the paint
  • Off-road grime Mud and grime worked into the finish
  • Track abrasion Scuffs and rash on the bodywork

Maintenance Plans

A prepaid maintenance plan pays for scheduled service in advance, so the customer brings the unit back to the selling dealer for oil changes, filter replacements and inspections.

What it covers

  • Oil changes Prepaid at each service interval
  • Filter replacements Prepaid with the plan
  • Inspections Scheduled checks that bring the customer back to your store

Wear & Tear

Wear and tear coverage replaces the parts that wear out in normal riding, which a manufacturer’s warranty leaves to the owner: brake pads and rotors, belts and hoses, bulbs and fuses. • Towing Up to $150 a tow after a covered breakdown

$0 deductible on every approved claim. New units only, current or prior model year, for 2 to 5 years. Total benefits up to $5,000 or the price paid for the vehicle, whichever is less.

Not covered: any part not listed, including the battery, clutch, shock absorbers, tires and wheels; maintenance such as spark plugs and filters; warped rotors; carbon or ceramic pads and rotors; and impact damage to headlamps. Pads are replaced once worn to 3mm.

Shown: AGWS Compass Powersports Wear & Tear (form PS_WCARE_VSC_25). Also covers wiper blades on units that have them, and one drive belt with the optional surcharge. Terms vary by state, and the contract governs.

Tire & Wheel

Tire and wheel protection repairs or replaces a tire or wheel damaged by a road hazard or, on the off-road form, a flat while riding legally. AGWS writes it in two forms: one for on-road motorcycles and one for off-road ATVs and UTVs.

What it covers

On-road motorcycle
  • Flat tire repair Road hazards on public roads
  • Tire replacement Beyond repair, through the tread life
  • Wheel repair or replacement When a rim won’t hold a seal
  • Mounting, balancing & valve stems Plus disposal of the old tire
  • Emergency roadside Up to $100 a call
Off-road ATV / UTV
  • Flat tire repair Any flat while riding legally
  • Tire repair or replacement Through the tread life
  • Wheel repair or replacement When a rim won’t hold a seal
  • Mounting & valve stems Plus tire disposal; no balancing

Both: no deductible, and bought with the vehicle. Limits: on-road, all benefits up to the motorcycle’s MSRP. Off-road, $250 per tire or wheel, $750 a claim, $2,500 for the term.

Not covered: cosmetic damage, normal wear, tread at 2/32" or less, racing, curb and median strikes, chain damage, tread separation, dry rot, improper inflation and commercial use. On-road also excludes off-road riding; off-road excludes balancing and tires more than 3" over factory size.

Shown: AGWS On Road Motorcycle Tire and Wheel (form 1_05_TWMOTO_21_C) and Off-Road Tire & Wheel for ATVs and UTVs (form CPS_OFFROAD_TW_23_C). Terms vary by state, and the contract governs.

Finance & Menu Training

100% of the products. 100% of the customers. 100% of the time.

Our approach goes beyond outdated scripts. We deliver adaptive training built around real-world powersports conversations: menu presentations, objection handling, compliance, and the disciplines that separate top producers from the rest.

Finance & Menu Training

Every product, every customer, every deal.

The producers who perform at the top of the market present every product to every customer on every deal. Not because they're pressured to, but because consistent menu discipline is what moves product penetration. That's the standard we train to.

Training is not a one-time event. We show up, review deals, and coach on what actually happened. If a producer is skipping half the menu out of habit, we see it in the data and address it directly, not at month-end, but at the next visit.

Tools & Technology

Built for the way powersports stores actually work.

We equip dealerships with modern tools that fit the powersports sales environment, not adapted from automotive. Integrated menu presentations, digital product brochures, and QR-code product access give your finance team the resources to run a professional F&I operation at every deal.

Every store we work with gets a dedicated Dealer Timeline: a running log of visit recaps, training milestones, performance notes, and coaching adjustments. It's an active record that holds us accountable and keeps the entire team aligned on what we're working on and why.

Long-Term Growth

Profit-sharing and reinsurance done with transparency.

Our reinsurance programs give powersports dealers a path to ownership of the F&I profit stream. We provide transparent, side-by-side comparisons across program structures so you understand exactly what you're getting into, and what comes back to you when the portfolio performs.

Every dealer we work with gets a direct relationship with the same team, visit after visit. No handoffs, no account management tiers. Just consistent people who know your store, your producers, and where your numbers are heading.

What powersports dealers actually get.

The product menu is the surface. Underneath it: rate negotiation with admin partners, claims-handling escalation, monthly review of penetration and per-vehicle revenue, training for the F&I bench, on-site coaching to break specific objections, and a Dealer Timeline that keeps every visit connected to the last one. You don't buy products from Elite FI. You operate an F&I department with us.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about powersports F&I products

What are powersports F&I products?

Powersports F&I (finance and insurance) products are the protection plans a dealer offers in the finance office when a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, scooter, snowmobile or personal watercraft is sold: service contracts, GAP, tire and wheel, wear and tear, appearance protection, prepaid maintenance, battery and key, and theft protection. They protect the customer after the sale and add revenue on every deal.

What does a powersports service contract cover?

A powersports service contract pays for repairs when a covered part fails mechanically. AGWS Compass Powersports is written at two levels. Gold names the parts it covers: the engine, water pump, factory turbo or supercharger, transmission, primary drive, drive axle on ATVs, UTVs and shaft-driven motorcycles, front and rear suspension, steering, brakes, anti-lock brakes on on-road motorcycles and scooters, electrical, gauges, fuel system, touring bike components, and seals and gaskets. Platinum covers every part except the listed exclusions. Wear items such as brake pads, tires, chains, batteries and filters are excluded under both (form 1_01_CPS_21_B).

What is the difference between Platinum and Gold powersports coverage?

Platinum is exclusionary: it covers every part except the ones the contract lists as not covered. Gold is named component: it covers only the parts it lists. On AGWS Compass Powersports, if no level is selected, Platinum applies to new units and Gold to used units.

Does powersports tire and wheel protection cover off-road riding?

It depends on the form. AGWS On Road Motorcycle Tire and Wheel (form 1_05_TWMOTO_21_C) covers road hazards on public roads and excludes off-road use, with benefits up to the motorcycle’s MSRP and emergency roadside up to $100 a call. AGWS Off-Road Tire & Wheel for ATVs and UTVs (form CPS_OFFROAD_TW_23_C) covers any flat while riding legally, up to $250 per tire or wheel, $750 a claim and $2,500 for the term, and excludes balancing and tires more than 3 inches over factory size. Both carry no deductible and are bought with the vehicle.

What is powersports wear and tear coverage?

Wear and tear coverage replaces parts that wear out in normal riding, which a factory warranty does not pay for. AGWS Compass Powersports Wear & Tear (form PS_WCARE_VSC_25) covers new units of the current or prior model year for 2 to 5 years with a $0 deductible: belts and hoses and electrical items up to three a year, one set of front and rear brake pads (replaced once worn to 3mm) and rotors, up to three headlamp bulbs, wiper blades, a key or fob replacement up to $400 and towing up to $150 after a covered breakdown. Total benefits are capped at $5,000 or the price paid for the vehicle, whichever is less.

Which powersports vehicles can these products be sold on?

On-road and off-road motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, scooters, snowmobiles and personal watercraft. Eligibility, terms and which products are available depend on the vehicle type, its age and the administrator; wear and tear, for example, is for new units only.

What powersports F&I products do you offer?

We cover the full powersports spectrum: vehicle service contracts for UTVs, ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and PWC; tire and wheel; GAP; appearance protection; maintenance plans; wear and tear; lifetime battery and key; and theft protection. Every product is written specifically for powersports, not adapted from automotive coverage forms.

How is Elite FI's training different from in-house training?

Our training is adaptive, built around what's actually happening in your store. We don't deliver a one-time module and disappear. We show up, review deals, and coach on real objections from your finance desk. Training adjusts based on what the data shows after each visit, creating a feedback loop that in-house approaches rarely maintain.

Do you work with smaller powersports dealers?

Yes. Our model is built for single-point dealers and small groups who want to run a professional F&I operation without a full internal team. We serve stores across volume tiers, from boutique specialty shops to high-volume franchise powersports dealers.

What does a profit-sharing reinsurance program look like?

We walk you through a clear, side-by-side comparison of program structures (their cost, profit potential, and risk profile) before you commit anything. Every dealer's situation is different. Our job is to make sure you have an honest picture of what you're choosing and why, so there are no surprises when the portfolio matures.
