Appearance Protection
EcoPro Flex

Appearance protection built for powersports surfaces.

EcoPro Flex is a VOC-free appearance protection program designed for the materials, use patterns, and storage environments of powersports vehicles — ATV, UTV, motorcycle, snowmobile, and PWC. Plastics, composites, and non-painted surfaces behave differently than automotive steel panels, and Flex is formulated for them. Strong customer story for buyers who take pride in maintaining their equipment.

Why powersports is different

Plastics and composites change the protection equation.

Passenger vehicle appearance protection programs are engineered for painted metal — steel and aluminum panels covered with a primer, base coat, and clear coat. Powersports vehicles are different: ATVs and UTVs use heavy polypropylene and ABS plastic body panels, motorcycles have a mix of painted metal and plastic fairings, snowmobiles use composite hoods and running boards, and PWC are molded fiberglass and polyethylene throughout.

Conventional ceramic and polymer coatings bond to clear coat chemistry. Applied to bare polypropylene or fiberglass, they often don't adhere the same way — which means automotive-grade products underperform and generate claims that undermine the program's economics. EcoPro Flex's formulation addresses the actual surface chemistry of powersports vehicles.

Exterior coating

Protection for composite and plastic surfaces.

EcoPro Flex applies a protective treatment to all exterior surfaces — painted metal where present, plastic panels, fiberglass, and composite materials alike. The coating creates a barrier against mud and mineral contamination, which is particularly relevant for ATV and UTV applications where the vehicle is regularly driven through terrain that would strip a standard automotive product.

Off-road use exposes surfaces to abrasive particles at speed — trail dust, gravel spray, vegetation contact. EcoPro Flex provides a sacrificial layer that takes the micro-abrasion before the underlying surface material does, which preserves the appearance and resale presentation of the vehicle across the ownership cycle.

UV and oxidation defense

Plastic surfaces fade faster. Flex slows it down.

UV degradation on plastic and composite surfaces is faster and more visible than on painted metal. Polypropylene fades from a glossy color to a chalky, faded version within a few seasons of regular outdoor exposure. ABS plastic panels on ATVs and motorcycle fairings are particularly susceptible — the UV stabilizers built into the plastic during manufacturing only go so far.

EcoPro Flex's UV treatment extends the surface life of plastic panels and composite pieces by forming a UV-blocking barrier. Customers who park their equipment outdoors between rides — which is most of them — see meaningful difference in how the vehicle looks after two or three seasons. That sustained appearance quality is the core value proposition on the showroom floor.

MicrobeRepel for wet vehicles

Storage between seasons is where mold happens.

PWC and boats spend significant time in wet storage — either at the dock or in a garage with residual moisture from the last run. Snowmobiles come out of summer storage with whatever organic material accumulated in the belly pan and seat seams over eight months. ATVs and UTVs that live on the trail develop their own version of this problem in the cab and storage areas.

MicrobeRepel treats interior and seat surfaces with an antimicrobial barrier that inhibits mold and mildew growth between uses. For PWC dealers especially, this is a selling point that resonates immediately — customers who've dealt with a moldy PWC seat know exactly what they're paying to avoid. The story is simple: "your seat and interior surfaces are treated so mold doesn't grow while it's in storage."

Why powersports dealers are adding appearance protection

Equipment buyers care about resale. Give them a reason to protect it.

Powersports buyers — particularly UTV and motorcycle customers — are enthusiasts who research purchases carefully, buy on emotion, and care about maintaining equipment value. They're already thinking about resale before delivery day. Appearance protection is a natural close for this customer: "your machine looks better longer, holds value better, and it's covered if something happens to the finish."

From the dealer's reinsurance standpoint, powersports appearance is a clean line — lower per-unit price points than auto, but consistent frequency and predictable severity. A powersports store adding EcoPro Flex to its menu gains a reinsurance contributor that fits neatly into a captive without disrupting the core auto or RV product economics.
