Open position — Virtual F&I Manager

Run the finance office. From home.

NextGen is our virtual finance department: certified F&I professionals who work a dealership's deals remotely, as an extension of that store. We are hiring the managers who do that work — experienced F&I people who want the desk without the dealership.

The role

A finance desk, run remotely.

Plenty of dealerships cannot staff a finance office. Some are too small to justify a full-time manager. Some lost theirs and cannot replace them. Some are running the whole back end through a sales manager who does not have time for it — and it shows in the numbers.

NextGen is what those stores hire instead: a certified F&I manager working their deals remotely, on video, with the same discipline a good desk would run in-store. Lender submissions and approvals. A full menu presentation to the customer. Product sales. Contracting and the funding package. Compliance and the documentation trail behind all of it. Here is how it is sold to the dealer — worth reading, because it is exactly what you would be delivering.

This is not a call center and it is not a queue. Stores are assigned to a manager, so you build a working relationship with the same rooftops, the same sales staff, and the same lenders week after week.

A day in the seat

What the work actually looks like.

A deal comes in from one of your assigned stores. You pull the credit, structure it, and submit to the lenders that fit — then work the approval, including the callbacks and the stipulations, the same way you would from a desk in the store.

Once it is bought, you present. That is a live video menu presentation to the customer: every product, every disclosure, the questions answered in real time. Then contracting — the paperwork generated correctly the first time, e-signed, and packaged for funding.

Around the deals: staying on top of your lender relationships, keeping your compliance documentation clean, and communicating with the sales floor at each of your stores. You are the finance office for those rooftops, which means being reachable when they are selling cars — evenings and Saturdays included.

What you need

Real F&I experience, and a room you can close the door on.

Experience. You have worked a finance desk. You have submitted to lenders, structured deals, presented a menu, sold product, and closed the paperwork. You know what a compliant disclosure sounds like out loud, not just on a checklist. Time in a dealership finance office is the qualifier here; formal F&I certification is a plus.

Setup. Reliable high-speed internet, a computer with a working camera and decent audio, and a private, quiet, presentable space. You will be on video with customers — a dedicated room is the requirement, not a corner of the kitchen.

Availability. Deals happen when the dealership is open. You do not need to be on call around the clock, but a virtual manager who is unreachable on a Saturday afternoon is not much use to a store that is selling cars. We will match your assigned rooftops to the hours and time zone you tell us you can genuinely cover.

What we hand you

Stores, systems, and support.

  • Assigned dealerships. We sign the stores and bring them onto the program — you do not prospect.
  • The product slate and rate structures already negotiated with our administrators, so you are presenting real numbers.
  • The platform: digital deal jacket, e-signature, and a documentation trail that is captured and timestamped as you work.
  • Compliance oversight and review, so you are not the only set of eyes on your own file.
  • Lender relationships that expand as the program grows, giving you more places to send a tough deal.
  • Ongoing training through our F&I curriculum, and a team of F&I people to escalate to when a deal is genuinely strange.
Compensation

You are paid on the back end you produce.

NextGen itself is priced to the dealer as a percentage of the back-end profit generated — no monthly fee, no fixed cost. The manager position is structured the same way: a 1099 contractor position paid on a percentage of what you produce for your assigned stores.

That means your income tracks your PVR and your product penetration directly. A manager who presents every deal properly and holds product is worth substantially more to a store — and earns accordingly — than one who processes paperwork. We review the specific percentage, the store assignment, and the volume you can expect during the interview.

There is no salary and no draw. If that does not fit where you are right now, we would rather you know before you spend ten minutes on the application.

The job in six parts

Common questions

Before you apply.

Is this really work-from-home?+
Yes. The work is done entirely remotely, on video and through our platform. What it does require is a private, quiet space you can present from — customers see you.
Am I an employee?+
No. This is a 1099 independent-contractor position paid on a percentage of the back-end profit you produce for your assigned stores. There is no salary and no draw.
How many dealerships would I have?+
It depends on the volume of the stores and the hours you can cover. We assign rooftops to a manager rather than pooling deals into a queue, so your store count is set deliberately and adjusted as your capacity changes.
What hours would I work?+
Dealership hours, including evenings and Saturdays, because that is when the deals happen. You tell us on the application what you can genuinely cover and in which time zone, and we assign stores that match.
Do I need my own DMS or software?+
No. The platform, deal jacket, and e-signature tooling are provided. What you provide is the computer, the camera, and the internet connection.
I have F&I experience but never worked remotely. Is that a problem?+
Not at all — most of our candidates come straight from a dealership desk. The F&I skill is the hard part to hire for; the remote workflow is something we train.
What happens after I apply?+
You will get an email asking you to confirm your address — click that link or the application will not reach us. Michael reads every confirmed application personally, and we follow up either way, usually within a few business days.
